The piano is being sold as the result of downsizing. New it could sell for over $25,000. It is being offered for sale for only $9,500!
It was built in Japan, but made for the North American market. In other words, it is NOT a gray market Yamaha. Gray market Yamahas are ones imported into the United States without Yamaha’s consent. Yamaha will not sell parts or provide direct service for these pianos. As a result, these pianos have poor resell value. A quick search of the serial number can determine a Yamaha pianos legitimacy.
