The ES1 was the first Kawai portable digital piano to win an international award for excellence — the prestigious “Good Design” Award from the Japan Institute of Design Promotion in 2001. The following year, it was named “Digital Home Keyboard of the Year” by MMR Magazine and “Electronic Product of the Year” by the German Music Products Association. Since then, Kawai digital pianos have gone on to win over 30 more top industry awards from around the world. Kawai’s portable digitals are among the finest in their class. There are currently two models in the ES Series line — one for entry-level players and the other for professionals. Both have won top industry awards as the best in their class.
